With the Fire TV Cube, one can watch anything without ever touching the remote.

You can use Siri on iPhone/iPad for control but there is no direct hands free control as of now. If you want to give feedback for further features you need to let Apple know.
The HomePod Mini offers the hope of hands free control, but it is currently quite pathetic compared to using Siri with the remote.
