No color printing with an HP ENY Inspire connected to an iMac OS Ventura 13.5.2. Cannot change the PreSets.

In early 2021, I purchased an iMac which has now been upgraded to Ventura 13.5.2. Last week, I purchased an HP ENVY Inspire Photo printer. It will not print in color. I have cleaned heads, changed cartridges, changed paper - nothing works. The only options in the default settings are black and white, and black and white - draft.

Hi DollLady,

Outside the standard configuration instructions provided at Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac, your printer manufacturer appears to offer suggestions for verifying compatibility at HP printer compatibility with macOS and OS X.

It's unclear if this printer worked as expected prior to your update, or which specific model printer you're trying to use. There does not appear to be a listing for "Envy Inspire Photo printer" at the page suggested in the HP article of Set up your HP printer so that may indicate it's known to not be compatible.

Ultimately if the other resources don't help it would be necessary to consult with the printer manufacturer for additional information on compatibility, software or support.

Regards.
