QUICK TIME no video, but the sound is there

I used my old mac with quicktime for video viewing. It was never a problem for watching onboard videos from camera on mac and quick time. I bought a new mac, and it shows only black screen with sound, no video.

Nothing has changed apart the mac.

How can i solve this?

QuickTime’s functionality depends on the version macOS as installed on the computer. A newer Mac may have a newer version macOS, and the bundled version QuickTime Player may behave differently because of that. Some older codecs are now deprecated or outright abandoned.

You have a choice of two options:

Use a different media player application, e.g. VLC or IINA.
Convert your old files, so that the current QuickTime Player likes them better, e.g. using HandBrake. HandBrake is trusted and has useful presets to make its settings much easier.
