LOUD notifications during a call
While on a phone call, how do I stop the notifications from BLASTING in my ear. It’s so loud that it actually hurts my ear.

Yes, that's the way it has always worked.
A better fix is needed.

That is not the least bit helpful for busy people who paid $1000+ for the latest technology. Older versions of the phone do not have this issue, so there must be a way to permanently change this setting. You would have to manually do that as a call is coming in, and then remember to put it back when the call is finished. A better fix is needed.
Use the mute switch just above the volume buttons.
Don’t want notifications off, just not so loud. Older versions are not as loud. It’s a 14 bug.
