Airplay Extended Display Screen Space

I recently returned to my home office after traveling with my AppleTV, and since reconnecting it to my primary workstation & its role as a 3rd “extended display”, I’m having a new problem with available workspace. It is hard to describe, so I shot a quick video & posted it here. There is far less usable screen-space than there should be, even though I’m using the default resolution for the display. I can’t think of

any software updates applied while I was away that might have affected this functionality.

Anyone able to spot a potential cause or workaround/solution?

Thank you!

Hey adamfromtempe,

You mentioned using the default resolution for the display. We're curious to know if changing the resolution changes the behavior that you're seeing: Change your Mac display’s resolution - Apple Support

  1. "On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Displays  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Select the display you want to adjust, then select the resolution you want to use.
  3. You may be able to turn on “Show all resolutions” to see additional resolutions for the display."
