Find My exceptions for AirTags not Working - Apple Not Helping

I am not able to set an exception for my air tags. I have a pack of 4 airtags sets and same problem occurs for all of them. I have some other airtags, but I can set exceptions for them.

Several time I’ve gone through the steps to add an exception, but every time I get the same error message:

“Unable to add location: There was an error adding this location”

My phone is updated. I’ve turned my phone off and back on, resetted the airtags and done everything recommended. I reached apple support via chat and phone but nobody seems to care, understand or is willing to help.

Hello berksen,

You've done great troubleshooting steps for this issue. If you haven't already, we recommend checking your location services to make sure everything is enabled: About privacy and Location Services in iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS - Apple Support

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services. We recommend checking that 'Location-Based Alerts" is enabled.

If it is, we recommend reaching back out to Apple Support, as this error may need closer investigation: Get Support

Take care.

Thank you for your note.

I did all troubleshooting steps including the above -and several times.

Reaching out to Apple Support does not help. They don't care, they don't help. They say they are conducting closer investigation and they never get back to me.

It is not ok. I have 4 airtags that I am not able to use.

I have to use them to track important things, but Apple are not making them work.

I don't know what to do at this point.

I have all the products Apple has launched, and have been a big fan of it for decades, but I hate it when they don't care or help.

Wish there could be a real competitior to their products, then Apple's customer service would not be that careless or unreachable.

I tried to reach out to Apple Support several times. The only thing they do is spending a few days to gather some questions for me which I already answered before.

And now they want me to stay on the call for another 20 minutes for diagnostics. They don't take my problem seriously and nobody sounds that they will be able to solve it.

This is not ok. I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars for apple products, and this level of customer service is not ok. The only thing I want to do is adding an exception to notify me feature and it takes weeks.

This is not ok. This is not level of customer service we deserved. I will send emails to whoever I can reach. Because reaching out to Apple Support does not help anything.

Advisor wants me to connect with senior advisor, senior advisor reaches engineers and they gather some generic questions for me. Is this really how this high-tech company works?

I have 4 airtags, that I am not able to use and that I am not able to return.
