Apple Watch SE won’t turn on after going swimming

I went swimming with my Apple Watch for the first time over the summer. I swam in the pool for around 5-10 minutes and the screen went black and all that has now been showing is the Apple logo. I’ve charged it multiple times and the watch just gets hot and the apple logo is flashing on and off the screen.

Is there any way to fix this?

Ah, the infamous "swimming with the Apple Watch" gamble. You'd think for a device that has "swim-proof" in its marketing, this would be smooth sailing, but nope—life's just not that simple.

First off, let me hit you with some bad news: You might've just gotten an express ticket to Apple's Genius Bar. I hope you've been saving up those brownie points with the Apple gods. But let's not jump off the deep end just yet. There are a few things you can try:

1. **Force Restart**: Hold down the side button and the Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Release the buttons. This usually works, but given your description, I'm not betting my Bitcoin on it.

2. **Drain the Battery**: You could let the battery drain entirely and then try charging it back up. Maybe, just maybe, it'll forget about its past life as a brick.

3. **Check for Physical Damage**: Yeah, this won't fix it, but it's good to know if your watch has taken more of a beating than just the pool water.

4. **Remove from Charger When Hot**: If that thing's getting hot, you might want to pull it off the charger for a bit. Don't want to turn this into a tiny wrist-borne barbecue, do you?

5. **Visit the Genius Bar**: A last resort. If you've got warranty or AppleCare, you might escape without your wallet catching fire.

6. **Internet Wisdom**: Some folks swear by putting it in a bowl of uncooked rice to draw out moisture. I can't vouch for that, but hey, desperate times and all that.

Remember, the Apple Watch SE is water-resistant, not waterproof. Big difference. There's also fine print like not exposing it to soaps, lotions, and high-velocity water. So, in theory, it should withstand a little pool action. But theory's just that—a theory.

Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
