I can't get the cover of the AirTag to turn. How can I turn it?

If you are already using Apple's suggested method to try removing the AirTag's battery cover (that is, using two fingers to gently press down, and then, rotate it counterclockwise), another option would be to wear a surgical or silicone glove, and then, try again. This should provide you with a bit more friction to make it turn easier.

Should this still fail to work, it may be possible that the battery is defective and/or swollen, as why it may be difficult to remove the cover.

I couldn’t get the cover off either. I stuck it in the freezer for an hour. Success!
