Choosing Pacific Standard/Daylight Time vs. GMT on Calendar and iCloud

I input an appointment on my iPhone Calendar (connected to iCloud & my other mobile and Macs). I input PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), but Calendar insists on scheduling the time as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)9, which is 1 hour later than PDT. I have done everything I know to do, but the $#&%$ GMT is STILL on my Calendars.

How do I change this? It's my calendar, my iPhone and devices, and my appointment. Surely I don't have to accept this input error.....

Thank you for any help you can give me.....

Hi alice dale,

If you haven't done so yet, restart your iPhone. Although simple, this step can help correct some unexpected issues. It's also a good idea to make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version, since this can help with overall performance: Update your iPhone or iPad

If an update is available, be sure to create a backup before installing it.

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If the issue continues, make sure the setting is correct in Settings > General > Date & Time. If you're having trouble changing it there, these steps will help: If you can't change the time or time zone on your Apple device

Here's some additional information that may be helpful: Add calendar events in other time zones on iCloud.com
