How do I turn OFF timer in Status bar?

The timer being in that status bar is extremely annoying. It is too easy to touch it and enter the timer screen, pause it, etc. I just want it gone but cannot find a setting for this. Surely Apple gives us a way to turn this off...

The display to show ending time on the timer isn’t there anymore Usually when you set the timer for example 10 minutes at 9:00 and you press start the timer would show that it would end at 9:10. Am I the only one who misses this feature? I think it was very useful and would like to have it back. Can this be changed in settings or is it completely gone?

It is really annoying the on’y way i found it is power off iPhone and restart it will be disappear.

Touch the status bar, it will show popup and press close button.
