than run apple diagnostics to insure info gone
reset PRAM and the SMC
turn FileVault off
remove machine from list of my registered products
can than move unit along, include original OS discs with unit and be sure unit clean?

Note that a "secure erase" of a hard drive will usually take much longer than a regular "erase" (where the system is just marking the disk as free for reuse, without actually going and overwriting all of the "erased" files).
