I have had my icloud account on my laptop with no problems up until three weeks ago and now every time I try to login I am told 'cannot connect to server' I have tried trouble shooting and done everything suggested it is so frustrating! What is ahppening as I can see other people are having the same problem?

There is, as of today, no long term fix. Either of the two workarounds are easily reversible and will not cause any long term problems. I'm currently running with the Killer Services disabled. But I have turned off IPv6 and turned it on again on a couple of occasions to test.
This of course is me and my PC. So you do what you're most comfortable with.
And, FWIW, the simplest workaround is to uncheck IPv6, try your access. If successful, great, if not simply turn (check) it on again. There is no need to reboot should you choose to give it a try.

I have had a look through and nothing appears to be a long term fix I am concerned that if I mess around with my laptop too much I will cause myself more problems hope iCloud get it sorted as it’s causing me problems trying to work.
I disabled the killer services but unfortunately it made no difference so think I am stuck without access for the time being!! Thanks for trying to help.
