I just want to know if people actually use their silicone or clear cases on their iPhone 14 Pro Max, as I feel that this will affect battery life when I am doing hard tasks and my battery starts to warm up. I’ve been using my iPhone 14 Pro Max with no case for five days now. I feel that the battery does not heat up as much when I have my silicone case on does anybody feel the same way.
One reason this might happen is that silicone rubber is typically a thermal insulator, meaning that it doesn’t let heat pass through it as easily as metal or glass. Meaning, the case might not let all the heat dissipated from the back of the phone transfer to your hand vs when you’re holding it without a case. This might make it feel colder.
I usually have a case on and always have a MagSafe wallet case or no case. That also creates a barrier between the back of the phone and your hands.
Interesting, so personally what do you do with yours? I love using it with no case when im at home, but if i am going out i end up putting my case on. But the feeling of using it and doing multiple tasks doesn’t feel as hot then with the case.
So you don’t believe that having a case for example while charging hurts the battery, because the case traps heat which throttles the battery health?
