Since downloading the Apple iso 17.0 onto my Iphone 11 Pro my Facebook Messenger app won't open. When I try to open the app It just disappears, but shows as an open app, but just with messenger logo in the middle of the screen. I have tried reinstalling the app numerous times and also resetting the network settings.
If someone could please advise.

I just added text size to control centre, adjusted it to 100% and now messenger works slowly increasing it back to 160% messenger app still working, so far so good no more crashes 🤞🏻ok after more testing you can’t go over 135% text size otherwise it will start crashing again, anything below that is working 💯 for me
adjusted the font size smaller, and everything worked.
Did as suggested with decreasing text size and it works on my iPhone 11 now.

Since iOS 17 has not yet been released officially, this might be a Beta Software issue, and you will have to wait for the official release of iOS 17, in case the Facebook app will also be updated.
This worked lower test size to 100% I have no idea why but it worked for me

I just did the update for messenger and it is all fixed
Try adjusting your text sizes to 135.

Apparently you missed the part where it was explained that Messenger is NOT an Apple product.

Yes , i erased the entire iphone with 70 g backup , it took me 3 hours to restore and guess what ? The “****” fb messenger was working only for about an hour past the final restore and then in started doing the same thing = back to not working at all :( , this is a clearly FB issue and i hope they will send an update ASAP . I cant figure out what is the trigger considering other devices in our household on ios 17 do not have this issue .
Just upgraded from an iPhone XS to an iPhone 15 Pro last night. Current iOS is 17.1.2. Had the same problems with Messenger and found this discussion.
Changing the font size did NOT help at all. Deleting the app and reinstalling it on my phone did.

Messenger was crashing for me after upgrading to a new iPhone 14. Rebooting the phone repeatedly did nothing. Uninstalled the app, then installed it again, and it's working fine.
