Notifications not working after iOS 17 Update

No I don’t have an Apple Watch and I’m having the same problems with my messages. I’m sure apple support is being deluged with these messages and hope a fix is coming soon.

I have the same problem….sound notification on the iPhone not working. I do not have an Apple Watch, just the phone. All I get is vibrations with no sounds.

I did find this information on Apple Support. I guess it's still supposed to work this way? Does not make sense to me.

Hello~ Do you realize turning off Bluetooth turns off Find My and Location Services? No Find My is a pretty hazardous way to roll as no Find My …no AppleCare.

That indicates your cellular carrier or recipient is blocking you.

It has nothing to do with Apple or iOS.

Messages to Android get sent via SMS, which is a cellular carrier function, rather than via iMessage, which requires only Internet access.

All notification Sounds are only sounding on my watch.

If I’m using the phone , the notification sound will sound on the phone. If screen is black the notification sound is on my watch. I have banners , notifications center and lock screen checked! I have updated to ios17.0.3

Phone does ring when I have a call even on black screen!

Frustrating. Ever since the iOS 17 update, my text notifications are not working. I have read some of the messages in this thread and the only way I get the notifications is if I turn on my banner or turn on the notification center or have the notification show on my lock screen I did not have to do this prior to the update, will there be a fix for this or has anyone figured out how to get their text notifications without having any of those lock screen, notification center or banner, turned on?

Like a cpl previous comments, my tones started working once I enabled notification stack or banner. Annoying, but solved the problem.
