Finding today's desktop wallpaper photo

I auto-rotate the wallpaper on my desktop daily. Once in a while I want to remember the date and location of a photo that is on the desktop. Is there an easy way to find the exact photo that is being displayed?

From the Terminal, and the only way that I know of...


This debug shows that Core Service is an alias back to the Library folder


Terminal.app copy & paste

defaults write com.apple.dock desktop-picture-show-debug-text -bool TRUE  && killall Dock


ex.



to turn off the debug overlay

defaults delete com.apple.dock desktop-picture-show-debug-text  && killall Dock
