Why won’t my Apple Pencil work on this iPad?

My new Apple Pencil will do just about everything, except scribble like it’s supposed to. I don’t understand why? I have a 1st generation iPad with a 1st generation Apple Pencil. But it just won’t scribble and turn my handwriting into text like it’s supposed to….can anyone tell me why?

Confused hey, my Apple Pencil just doesn’t work smoothly on iPad. I have an iPad Pro 3rd Gen and Apple Pencil 2. My pencil just make weird lines on its own while I’m writing on the screen & if I’m writing a letter there are going to be breaks between it. Can anyone please guide me on how to fix it

Apple pencil not writing on some parts of the screen Mostly mu apple pencil 2 is writing well at my ipad mini but occassionally it is not writing on some part of a page (eg writing a word and a few letters don’t turn up on the page). Sometimes when I keep trying it sill work, sometimes not. I think it is on the same part of the ipad most of the time though not always. It feels to me it is a ipad problem not a pencil problem? Somebody have any idea how to fix it? Or just go to the Apple store (both ipad and pencil pretty new). Thank you! 🙏🏼
