Apple Watch shows white bar over date after watchOS 10 update

I had the same issue but I found this:

Use the Always On feature with your Apple Watch - Apple Support (CA)

which explains how to selectively turn on/off what you want to hide when the screen is not active.

My watch does not show the white bar (so far in my tests), so it is probably a problem in your settings and maybe a corruption in the watch face. I suggest you could try either or both of:

* Go into the (iPhone) Watch app and change the top right Complication, then change it back to Today's Date. That should reload the complication and clear any software glitches.

* In the Watch app make a completely new Siri watch face, load to your Apple Watch and test to see if the behavior is different. (This should be a stronger version of the first test above)

From what I can tell this seems to be an issue with complications when AOD is turned on but the Show Complication Data setting is turned off. This used to make the complication ie date, current temperature disappear when the wrist is not raised up. The temporary fix I found is to turn the show complication setting to on which means the data is always displayed. Must be a bug somewhere in the OS 10 update as it was fine up until I did the update.

I did have this with the reminder notification. Once I pressed it it returned to normal. I still have a problem with the sunrise/sunset though.

This is happening to me also with my calendar but when I switch it to date it works

Tried both of these, along with the restart phone/watch, location services etc (as suggested elsewhere) and the sunrise/sunset still not appearing.

I've just checked and the AOD and Show Data are both turned on. Toggled on/off and still not nothing, so guess there is a bug somewhere.

Same problem with weather. Tried all the above. Must be a bug

Same here, honestly I dislike this whole Apple Watch update..

Apparently OS 10 was supposed to fix this issue which I had never experienced until the recent update.

Same happened to me. Update said it was for a fix but after update it covers appointments under the clock sometimes

Hi! I was curious if an update. This just happened to my watch. Does yours still have this white bar glitch bug? If not, how did you fix it? If it is still there, did it get worse?

Same here. Very annoying. Even switched wallpaper to see if changed and it still happens
