ipad wont update to ios 17

Try this.  After deleting apps, photos and messages I still wasn’t able to upgrade to iPadOS Version 17.2…but this did work for me. Plug the iPad into your computer.  Open the iPad and “Trust” the computer.  On you computer open Finder and on the left side under Locations select the iPad.  “Trust” the iPad.  Follow the prompts to update your iPad.

Certain older iPads such as the 2017 iPad 5th gen and the 2015/2016 iPad Pro 12.9 and 9.5 inxh screen icannot upgrade beyond the most current version of iPadOS 16.

Hello, I’ve had this problem too. I usually just kept trying. My iPad told me it did not have enough storage. I would suggest deleting as many things as possible, because it needs more storage than it tells you it does. Out of curiosity, what gen iPad are you using?
