Using The Computer Keyboard as MIDI Channel Input For a Specific Channel

Hi everyone,

I was using Ableton for my musical fun. Then I realized that Logic Pro is much more reliable for Mac Pro.

But there is one last thing that I am dealing at the moment. Kindly asking for your help

I am a live player (just for fun). I am using foot pedals to make simple drum rhythms. To do that on Ableton, I am setting the computer keyboard as midi channel input on the drum vst channel, I am setting a specific keyboard key for each pedal (for example: a letter key plays kick, w letter key plays snare etc.). As soon as I press the pedal, the pedal sends `a` letter key input to the computer and I get the kick sound. (I hope I explained clearly)

But on Logic Pro I can’t set the computer keyboard as MIDI input. I can get a virtual keyboard on screen by using command+k but when it is on screen, also other keyboards sends signal and I get unwanted drum notes.

Is there any way to set the computer keyboard as a MIDI channel input? Million thanks for your time. I am really stuck now:(

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 11.7
