What happened to DOCK, which gave me quick access to the 10 apps I selected and use most, in Watch OS 10? Also, how is pushing the side button easier or better than a quick swipe up to access the Control Panel?

Also, pushing the digital crown twice used to bring me to the last app that I used. Now it just goes back to the beginning. I have my apps in list view.
Now I wish I didn’t do the update for the watch. I hadn’t even noticed about the Watch faces yet until now.
Totally agree it’s the worst update I’ve seen. The dock was so handy. It’s now a nightmare trying to find apps. Let’s hope Apple see sense and reinstate the dock on the watch.
I’m very disappointed the app dock is now gone on my Apple Watch. Loved that I could quickly access some of my smart home apps to open my garage door, turn on lights etc.

Read the thread oldster! The Dock is still there and you're complaining about a non-issue.
I like many other Apple watch users would like the product managers to re-establish the dock on the Apply watch.
Replaced with Smart Stack. Not as good
I believe apple already puts the recent apps at the top automatically. So, even if you rearrange them, they will get overridden by apple's rule of recent apps going to the top.
I guess I’m the minority. The functionality of the dock is now in the stack like on my phone. Unlock the dock I can customize this. The only thing I saw the dock doing was killing my battery
I never really used the dock and I haven't spent much time playing with the App Switcher. But, you can start learning here:

Double clicking the digital crown and double clicking the side button do two different things, try them out.
That is not the Dock! That’s just all your apps. The dock is a completely different thing, and it’s gone!
I’m not sure I care about most recently used apps.
I’m eager to get my favorites back!

They got rid of the Dock in watchOS 10?!!?? Not a smooth move. Would really like for the Dock to be reinstalled! Soon please.
