ipod support service not installed, itunes helper is not running - how do i fix this? windows 11
itunes wont recognize any of my devices so i ran a diagnostic and was told ipod support service is not installed and itunes helper is not running. It was working perfectly about a week ago and just suddenly stopped. ive tried everything i can think of and everything i could find online to help address this issue. when i plug in a device to my usb ports on my laptop they will charge but no device is recognized on my laptop either. i go into device manager and dont see a section for portable devices. ive tried both usb ports, ive tried different usb cables, ive tried connecting 3 different ipads in case it was an issue with the device itself, ive uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it, all universal serial bus controllers in device manager have updated drivers.. ive gone into power management settings and disabled the setting for allowing the computer to disable to save power, ive gone into the apple mobile device files and associated apple files and clicked repair, itunes is up to date, windows 11 is up to date, ive chatted with apple support through their chat window and was unable to solve my problem, i even factory restored my laptop and reinstalled itunes and am still having this issue. i dont know what else to try..
