So the NYT app needed -update really needed me never to read the NYT again on my iphone. Talk about forced obsolescence!

iOS 17 will not run on an iPhone 7, it is too old and doesn't have the hardware needed to run that version. You will need to purchase an iPhone XR or newer if you need to run iOS 17.

I’m unable use Gpay now
Because the developers at Gpay have decided to no longer support the iPhone 7.
I do need to update my I phone 7plus, but it doesn’t give an answer

The iPhone 7 doesn't support iOS 17.
You will need an iPhone XR or later.
