Memojis disappeared after iOS 17 upgrade

I’ve found the Memoji stickers, and they work on text messages but still don’t work in Messenger 😵‍💫. Turned them on and off in keyboard settings, restarted phone and still no joy. Grrrr Any other ideas???

BUT … I found them!

tap the + (to the left of the text box), choose “Stickers”, tap on the icon with the multiple people….or the girl’s head….and there they are!

I thought I had lost my Memojis but found them once I tapped the “+”. What I really was looking for was my Bitmoji. I had to go back and download the app after the new update. All my bitmojis are now back and also under the +.

When I tap on the + all I get is camera, photo and video library, document, location, contact, poll’ There is no stickers. Stickers only appears if I tap on emoji’s and it says show stickers’. When I select that, I only get the normal emojis. I want to recreate my personal emoji. How can I do that?

this worked for me and absolutely everyone else in my workplace who has an iPhone.

Question: I hit the + plus sign, and I see "Stickers" but I also see "Memoji." Is there a difference if I go to Memoji under Stickers vs. straight to Memoji? Thanks. [It's for a friend's phone -- I'm still using an iPhone 5SE.]

The 17.1.1 iOS upgrade on my 13 pro max was a mess.

lost contact app from tray and also personalized emoji.

Disk utilization way too high ( like 254 out of 256GB) and that’s why I got a new iPhone .

So Apple - do a better job at edge case QA

Thanks-I found it. Had to create a new Memoji, but then it populated. Annoying that it isn't now in the same spot as emoji, with the extra step of hitting + and selecting it. I also loved my old Memoji-wish I knew why Apple thought this was an improvement.

I have the same problem, and I am on 17.1.1. I have tried all the recommendations listed, none of which works!

If this is another Apple glitch, hope they fix it fast. If it is on purpose, that's just not good!

Tap the little smiley face emoji in the bottom left corner under the 123 tab on the keyboard. Under the “Frequently Used “

tab you’ll see a half basketball shaped thingy in the bottom right corner next to all of the “allowed” emojis. Tap it and what should pop up is a display showing all of the emoji/picture options available to you. One of them is the 3 headed “stickers” icon. Tap it and scroll left or right until you see all of your emojis that you thought you lost. Mine was a personal one I designed and that’s where I found it. Hope this helps….

When you say that you’ve “tried everything” we don’t really know what you mean.

Thanks for your solution which I am trying to use. I have pressed the smiley face and it now shows stickers and frequently used but I cannot see the half basketball in the bottom right. I have bar at the bottom which starts with a clock face and ends with a flag. Can you offer some help please.

It was a mistake for Apple to do this but.... I got my MeMojis back by doing this....

Since update Apple made on my iPhone 12, I do not have poses of my Memoji that I can choose from like I did before. 😒. I don’t want to make an expression live for my Memoji every time I use it! Anyone have any issues with this, too?
