iPhone lagging and slow after iOS 17 Update

My IPhone 13 has been considerably slower ever since I updated it to ios 17.

Its never been this way in ios 16!

while using safari, I am witnessing frame drops. My keyboard is not smooth. While check for background apps, It’s stuttering and the app overall scroll seems very sluggish and lots of frame drops.

i have more than 50Gb storage space available and my battery capacity is still above 80%.

Even while typing this, My keyboard seems sooooo sluggish!

please help me and suggest me some useful tips to resolve this apart from the usual force restart and all fixes!

I have the same issue. For me, I mirror my phone to my PC for streaming the game MLBB. I noticed that as soon as I updated to 17, the picture quality and frame rate dropped when playing games or mirroring to the PC.

I purchased, from apple, the lightening-HDMI connector and it worked beautifully up until the update. I tried to check if it was the cord and tested the same game on my iPad and it is crystal clear.

I think there is an issue with the new update and it definitely needs fixing. "troubleshooting" will not fix this, it's the OS that is the problem. Sorry.

iOS 16 was stable and smooth for me, and after update to 17.1 it’s stuttering and lagging in 35% of animations, stutters in scrolling, battery drain and more more more. After update to 17.4 I don’t see any improvements, think that it planned obsolescence, I don’t know. It’s my first device from Apple and negative experience, never buy it in future, gonna back to android

Today I proved my iPhone 13 Pro Max is the problem. I'm on my same home WiFi as my HP computer, my PlayStation 5, and my iPad Pro 2021.

My iPhone is SO SLOW!!!! Even the Amazon app is running slow and reporting "Something went wrong" and I have to refresh. The iPhone with iOS 17.2.1 (current) is reporting a Speedtest.net download and upload of

ONLY 14.0/0.83 Mbps.

My 3 year old HP Specter with Windows 11, says 88.5/11.5 Mbps.

My PlayStation 5, original model, says download of 83.2 Mbps.

And my 12.9" iPad Pro 2021 says download of 82.86/11.91 Mbps.

All tests done within 5 minutes. APPLE NEEDS TO STOP ADDING FEATURES AND FIX THE FOUNDATION!

I'm so very dissapointed I'm actually depressed. This is where Apple leaves us today. I have a few months left of T-Mobile credits until I can dump iPhones since my first iPhone 3.

Well 17.3 is here. I decided to try connecting Bluetooth to my car again to see if I could drop the iPod wire to my USb port to get music in my Honda. Worked for a few days and I thought, "It's fixed"! But silly me, thinking that Aside wanted to fix anything... same old missing album artwork, and random drop outs for up to 30 seconds. The music is still playing and my iPhone still says connected, but static drop outs continue. APPLE: I don't want to leave after more than a decade and my iPhone 3, but this toxic relationship has to end. Out of focus photos, audio issues WITH YOUR MUSIC AND PODCAST APPS, keyboard issues, incredibly bad autocorrection, and dropped calls. The implied usability of the phone is not reliable.

Experiencing the same problem here. It's incredibly frustrating to say the least! Ever since the latest update, my iPhone 13 Max Pro with 1TB has became really choppy and lagging especially when switching from one app to the other - lost all smoothness. As much as I love Apple products, the company seems to have some bad intentions! The ongoing Device Performance Litigation certainly doesn't inspire much confidence in Apple.

Hope they fix it soon. After many years of Apple products I’m getting sick of it. BTW, Experiencing the same issue with my iMac. Can’t even open regular websites anymore without getting frustrated!
