I just did the update to 10.1 on my Apple Watch and now the battery is dead within 4 hours when it was lasting the entire day before the update.

Does anyone have any update on what Apple is doing to correct this and how soon it will come?

This Watch and all it's functions are a constant tool I use throughout my day and I don't want to start looking for a different option.

I updated back on 10/27 to 10.1 and my battery life is lasting 4 hours max! WTH?! I usually charge my watch every other day. I put my watch on at 100% life 20 minutes ago and I’m down to 89% already and I haven’t even used it for anything yet!

I have had Apple Watches since they first came out. I have never had this issue. This watch is a series 8. I hope they fix this issue quickly.

Apple Watch 7 having the same issues. I let it die, and it does the same thing. I have removed and erased it twice from my phone with the same results. Once was a restore, the second was setup as new. - No difference.

I called Apple for support and they ran a diagnostic, it showed no issues. They asked me if I expected it to last more than 18 hrs. I explained that it was lasting on average 2-3 hrs from 100% to 10%. They were no help. They suggested I take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

This all started with the upgrade to 10. They would not acknowledge it was an OS update issue.

I am under warranty to the end of the year.

The same thing happened to us! We had our phones updated with the latest iOS, unpaired the watch and paired again, ran diagnostics and spoke to Apple Support. Their advice was to send it in for repair!! Nothing wrong with the watch, it’s less than 1 year old. Restring my watch fixed the problem. History repeats itself - this isn’t the first time an iOS update caused the same problem and a reset is necessary to remedy the glitch. Come on Apple!! You can do better!!
