Pages printing vertical lines through an image

Hi can anyone help with this. When I print an image from Pages, whether in a document even one converted to PDF it prints a vertical line down the image. This is not a black line nor a white line, it is a darker shade of the colour being printed, and is about 1 mm wide; it looks like a line or two of the print job has been printed on top of the previous line or two so giving a darker shade. This is on a MacBook Pro 16, running on Ventura 13.5.2, printing on a Brother J6530DW printer

In desperation I printed the same document/image from my iPad to the same printer and it printed without that line. The problem with using the iPad as a work around is my document in this case is A6 and iPad can only print to A4.

Help please. It seems there is a problem with Pages on MacBook which is not there in Pages on the iPad
