Cannot Customize Lock Screen iPad OS
I've got iPad OS 17 (17.0.1 as of now) running on my iPad Air. I go to the lock screen, unlock the iPad, and long press. It comes up with the option to customize the screen or add a new screen. Regardless of which I choose, customization fails at the last step, after it asks if I want to make a "pair." Here's the steps:
- Unlock.
- Long Press.
- Press the + to add a Wallpaper.
- Choose a Wallpaper (have tried many, Weather is the most common because it's what I'm trying to do).
- Change clock font, add some widgets, etc.
- Click the Add button (top right).
- BRIEFLY the thing with two screens pops up at the bottom and it looks like it's asking me if I want to create a pair or something.
- Then that option vanishes, and I'm back to step three. I see my existing wallpaper, the new one I just created is gone, and I have to start over by tapping the +.
From there it's just a loop. No matter the style or widgets I choose, after I tap Add it's all over, I lose my work.
Anyone else seeing this? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Did a slo-mo video with my iPhone showing the end of the process but not sure how to attach that here, if that's even possible..?
