iOS 17.0.1 causing iPhone issues

Apple says to upgrade to 17.0.3 which I did. I have found that a reboot gets things working normal again. Do this fast first press vol up button then vol down then press and hold in power off button don’t let go until Apple logo shows on screen then let go and wait for ph to prompt next move. Then swipe up punch in your pass code. Phone opens up. This mays work. I’ve solved lots of issues using this simple hack. If you do it wrong don’t worry just do it again.

steve_cox try this apple fix press fast volume up-press fast volume down-press fast and HOLD in power button until apple logo comes on screen then let go and wait for phone prompt then swipe up and punch in passcode. This has fixed many of my issues on I ph 12. Good luck and use it regularly.

Tiffles1,I have I ph 12 installed iOS 17.1 and all is fine. Sorry you are having problems this way. When I experience a glitch of any kind I do the apple recommended reboot: do this fast- press in volume up let go then press in volume down fast let go then press in and HOLD power button until Apple logo comes on screen then let go when you can swipe up punch in pass code. It may help. Worth try. I use it often and it clears up ‘most issues.’

Restoring from an Older iOS Backup:

No. This is not adoption. You cannot downgrade to an earlier iOS that was is installed. That's just the way Apple has designed this. So, try another update, this time using a computer....

Update Using a Computer:

Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip. If any updates are availabe, they will install, sure enough.

I faced a similar issue after updating my iOS yesterday. It was working fine after the update but today morning, I faced this dilemma. I then tried to switch off my phone using the volume up button and the right side button and I was then able to access my home screen. Hope this helps. P.S: I'm using an iPhone XS by the way.

Troubleshooting Lost Apps:

A. Drag it Back:

Swipe your finger in from the right. Then, drag it back over.

No Success?...

B. Reset the Home Screen Layout:

If a widget or app has gone mossing somehow, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout. Go Here: Move and Organize Apps on iPhone - Apple Support. You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there. So, take a screenshotf each Home Screen to know what to place and where: Take a Screenshot On your iPhone - Apple Support

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: General
3. Tap: Reset
4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
5. Then... Add the apps back

As I am also having issues since the iOS 17 update. I was directed to follow these steps

Settings app > General > scroll to and select Transfer or Reset iPhone > select Reset > Reset Network Settings > select Reset Network Settings again to confirm.

I’m having a similar issue. Can’t see half the apps, no fixed apps on the bottom. Everything was fine last night, just a few hours after updating, however this morning it went through a password request loop of every email address I have. Managed to shut down to restart. Now just missing app icons on half my apps.

So I barely use any of the phones apps or intelligence, on purpose, as I do not care for tech and yes I grew up around it, heavily, the newest upgrade, has messed up my voice message. I now have to put in a pass code start a new voicemail,,and yes I have re booted, refreshed all of everything , all in cloud updating yadda yadda. So I called my number and it goes to my voicemail,.,. so Apple, your 17.01 upgrade is a pain in the rear . Now I have to worry, will my calls go to my voicemail, that I have had the entire lives of all my Apple phones. I was for years Microsoft based phones and considering going back, as a vet, disabled I rely in my phone ! Apple, pull your heads outta ...... and get it right,, poor upgrades ladies,, old saying the fancier the plumbing, the easier for things to plug it up, might want to consider that,,,

My apple, has lost its mind, literally after the 17-01 like wth,, I use 1% of the apps , and intelligence, I am diligent about I cloud stuff, upgrades I have like,nth degree usage if space on the phone,, old saying the fancier the plumbing, more crap backs up,, crazy, I have refreshed, rebooted, really thinking of going back to Microsoft based phones, I never , ever had issues like I have with apple,,

Same!! My text message screen keeps freezing. Videos freezing and restarting. Just all type of weird screen stuff. At first my phone wouldn’t connect to cell service then I restarted it. Which seemed to fix it. Now I have glitches. Meanwhile I have the 14 Pro Max so this shouldn’t happen. Reply if you get any better luck with your issue.

I have an IPhone 14 and I have 17.0.2 downloaded and I’ve lost all purchased ring tones, my “labels” in gmail have lost all content/emails, so much as happened to my iphone, ipad and MAC, that I can’t list them all. I’ve rebooted all my devises, deleted gmail and downloaded and nothing…..I called Apple and they said it was a google problem and to contact google.
