@Dogcow-Moof: Unfortunately, while that video can help for contacts, it really doesn't solve the main grey screen issue. If you go into contacts and press to call them, it will automatically dial, so there is no need to see the keypad numbers. So the grey screen doesn't make a difference with that.
But if you are calling a new number, or a number not in your contacts, then you can't change the screen color for that. And it you are in a bright place, or have bad eyes, you can't see that screen properly all the time, due to the lack of contrast between the grey screen and white letters.
Now, before you say "Go tell Apple" again, I have actually sent a complaint about this issue and a request that it either be changed back or that they allow us to change that color for all calls. And I listed the above reasons for my complaint. I have yet to hear back from them. Though they may be swimming through tons of complaints about this latest update and either not gotten to mine yet. Or (and this is more probable), they simply don't have the time to reply to everyone, so they focus on replying only to the more serious issues. Of which, this would not be considered serious.
That being said, a lack of reply doesn't mean they won't look into this issue and try to fix it in the future.
I do agree with you, in that more people who have an issue with this should contact Apple about it, and hope that if enough of us complain, they will do something about it.
And I do appreciate your video, even if it is not a fix to the crux of the problem, because I had no idea I could just change the background color of contacts without adding a photo. I never wanted to add photos, so I never edited that, or knew I could fiddle with monograms or color on my contacts. So, I am grateful that you posted that video. Thank you, very much.
