Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
After the iOS 17 update, and the first patch, (17.0.1) my photos are no longer indexed properly. For example, if I just try to search for 9/21, I get five random photos from different dates. PLEASE HELP!
I have restarted the device multiple times and have also learned that it may take up to one week to re-index after the update, but I don’t think that’s the problem.

Per the Apple help desk this is known issue. Even the person troubleshooting my issue had this exact problem. We just need more people to report it so that they prioritize fixing in their next release. Frustrating that this is happening still after several updates.
Sounds like good be a phone issue. Have you powered it off and back on and then try? Couldn’t hurt! Hopefully it’ll work. At least you know it’s closer than it was before.
I installed 17.1 and it fixed the photo indexing issue!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
not fixed here even with ios17.1, indexing is still endlessly working for no result.
The iOS 17 has not resolved this issue, I have hundreds of photos from Italy and when I search, 8 come up ! I am so very disappointed.
I have same problem and still trying to complete syncing. Have you tried the new updates ios 17.1.1? Please let me know if anything change.
Happy for you, too bad I tried that last week and my photos only sync about 4-6 photos each night, overnight syncing, still got 36k more to sync. :(( let's see tonight, after the new ios update

When I search photos, the most recent photo will be from Sept 2022- that’s 2 years ago….
i don’t believe any of the photos since 2022 have indexed. How is this possible?
