After the iOS 17 update, and the first patch, (17.0.1) my photos are no longer indexed properly. For example, if I just try to search for 9/21, I get five random photos from different dates. PLEASE HELP!
I have restarted the device multiple times and have also learned that it may take up to one week to re-index after the update, but I don’t think that’s the problem.

The senior advisor recommend me to let the phone fully sync (not paused) in a stable network connection. I left my phone over the weekend and everything seems to get back in place, at least no other problem yet. (2 weeks alr)
Happy for you, too bad I tried that last week and my photos only sync about 4-6 photos each night, overnight syncing, still got 36k more to sync. :(( let's see tonight, after the new ios update
Same here, even after ios 17.1.1. Syncing status now only "syncing..." without the status of remaining photos unsynced :(( I sync 6 photos on wifi, on charger, unlocked, overnight

I have now downloaded 17.2.1 update and the indexing is working, although I didn’t have an issue before

My issue with it started yesterday and I am extremely ticked that there is no documented fix since this has been a reported issue for what looks like to me, close to 2 years now.
When I search photos, the most recent photo will be from Sept 2022- that’s 2 years ago….
i don’t believe any of the photos since 2022 have indexed. How is this possible?
