Photos application not working properly or indexing iOS 17.0 - 17.1

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max running the latest version 17.1. Since 17.0 I have noticed that I am not able to search for any photos in my application. Absolutely nothing at all. I have left my phone several days connected so we can index completely but it doesn't seem like it's doing anything. I have also noticed when I flip through my Photos every once in a while I will have a blurry picture and if I wait it clears up. This also happens to my videos and can take up to 10 seconds to start to play a one minute video. I am not using the cloud to store my photos or videos. They are all on my phone. One other thing that I noticed is that if I take a picture and immediately try to send it via iMessage to anybody, it says "preparing" the little circle like if it is loading. Then I get a message after a while that says there was an error while preparing to share. Please try again later.

Does anybody have this problem or found a solution or a fix for this?

Thanks

iPhone 14 Pro Max

Yes I do have a solution for the issue. You're probably not going to like it but it's now fixed. What I did was to restore my phone and updated my iOS through my computer. I made sure I downloaded a fresh copy of my iOS through my computer instead of updating through my phone. You might have to put your phone in DFU Mode so that you can make sure you get a new fresh copy of the operating system for your phone. Oh, don't forget to do a back up of your data before you restore your phone.

This issue is needed to fix definitely!!! why update and have to log on computer to get it fixed!? terrible update. Before update I was able to search and instantly shown and now took forever and see message below…that I used to search before update. Now

“”No Result””

“”There were no results for "oakley." Try a new search. Indexing...””

Very frustrating!! Why all photos are in Categories, Moments, Places, Faces and So on and on that are not needed and are not working! My curiosity to click on like “Winter” and so others and none of those are shown!? Before update was working and unfortunately last weekend I was at funeral to look for some of photos as to bring those for memorial service but couldn’t as time limited…Terrible update!

It was probably a software glitch. Your phone was installing iOS 17. Or 17.1.
