You bought a macbook pro from where? IF you bought it from Apple or an authorized Apple dealer you wouldn't be running into icloud activation lock, which can only be removed by the original owner.

If you can't get a hold of the person you bought it from, more than likely you bought a stolen Macbook especially for that price. That is the risk you took, which shouldn't be blamed on Apple, that is your responsibility.

The macbook is useless recycle it or turn it over to your local authority.

Actually yeah it does if it isn't allowed to be sold on ebay or offer up why is it allowed to apple shouldn't allow these products to be sold online if they know its a scam trying to get threw so yeah they should make it illegal is what I'm saying if that can happen to anyone because I got a iPhone 14 and it works great but the macbook was a scam so if it was going to be a problem they should band people from selling stuff like that on familiar apps duh... anyone can make an account and erase it but it is a hassle like android and other electronics are similar to erase all that so should apple instead of worrying about their dam security thats why samsung beat them cause they can be making money off anyone who can get into it threw their store or apps hello smh.

Restraint of trade is illegal. At least in the US; communists countries run themselves in their way. Apple lacks the authority to make any private owner bend to their will or whim.

Dp you really want a vendor from which you buy anything to regulate how you dispose of it? I don't; I believe my private property is mine to deal with as I believe so long as I don't break any laws.

"You pays your money; you takes your chances." Both caveat emptor and proper due diligence apply.

The best way to avoid buyer's remorse is to have full knowledge of what you're doing beforehand. That's always been true and it still is now.
