"Disk Not Ejected Properly" Hundreds of times
Using Venture 13.5.1 on MacBook Air.. I have an external My Passport for Mac drive for saving My Time Machine Back-up for several years. It has worked fine until recently. I have been inundated with a "Disk Not Ejected Properly. Eject "My Passport for Mac before disconnecting or turning it off". I believe this began after the last update, Ventura 13.5.1. I do not ever recall having this issue previously. Yesterday, I stopped deleting this message when I had accumulated over 500 on my desktop! I have NOT ejected or disconnected my external drive for months, if ever. I contacted Western Digital Support. After trying several things, we could not delete the error messages. They had no solution. The support person was able to send me the following link he thought might help: "Disc Not Ejected Properly keeps popping u… - Apple Community" He also told me they had received several requests recently for help with the same issue as mine. This previous discussion was from 2014. The problems discussed were similar to mine, but I was not able to find a solution to my particular issue. When I pasted the link here, there was a message that the link was out-of-date and to re-post. This is extremely annoying...having hundreds of this message popping up on the right side of my screen, and I do not wish to disconnect my external drive. Thanks, Pat
