I can't switch watch faces on my Apple Watch
After updating to new iPhone 15 Pro and unpairing and then re-pairing Apple Watch, I can't switch watch faces. I used to be able to swipe between them.

This has been changed in watchOS 10.2. Tap & hold is still the default way to change watch faces and is welcomed by those who complained that it was too easy to switch watch faces accidentally.
But in 10.2 go to Settings on the watch. Swipe down to Clock and tap. There is a toggle switch to revert to swiping to switch watch faces.

It stinks. Not user friendly. Why can’t they just quit “tweaking”
Apple is not here. This is a user-to-user technical support forum.
But you can send Apple feedback via:
If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.
Wow! As a 3 year Apple Watch owner I wasn't prepared for that radical a change.

That stinks. I used to load different types of data onto different faces. It was convenient to be able to just swipe between them. I think I’ll have to use the widgets now, which is annoying because I’m left handed and reaching/turning the crown is a pain in the ***. 😒
watchOS 10 changed the way you can "switch watch faces."
Choose a different watch face
Touch and hold the watch face, swipe to the one you want, then tap it.
watchOS 10.2 in a few weeks should have a configuration option to allow you to decide.
Customize the watch face - Apple Support
Includes instructions on changing your watch face
