iPhone does not ring with incoming calls after updating to iOS 17

My I phone is not ringing

My phone isn’t ringing either after iOS update.

My iPhone 15 does not provide sound when I receive a message or a phone call . How do I change this

Even i am facing this issue from last 2 days. Getting app notifications for other apps but not for incoming calls. This looks like an issue realted to ios.

So I’m dealing with the same issue. I FaceTimed my husband, he didn’t answer. When he came inside his phone started calling me but he wasn’t on his phone. Then my phone started calling his phone.

This did not work for me

My incoming calls don’t ring most of the time with the latest update, which is 17.5.1. Not happy about that at all.

I just tested and solved it myself. Try in Settings -> Phone -> Call Blocking & Identification, uncheck Business ID. This worked for me so hopefully it will too for you!

This design is clearly flawed in my opinion. From the description “Display verified business names and logos identified by [your mobile carrier]” it doesn’t suggest in any ways that this will actually BLOCK those callers, so when I was trying to solve the issue by changing different settings, this wasn’t even in my first couple of trials. It should say clearly in the text that this will send unidentified callers to mailbox automatically.

This is what fixed the issue for me

settings >> phone>>Silent unknown callers>> Turn off

it started ringing for the calls but as soon as I turn on settings for silent unknown callers, it stops ringing and just shows call notification on screen , no matter if the call comes from my contact.
