iPhone speaker not working after iOS 17.1.1 Update
When talking on the phone, no one can hear me when I use speaker phone after upgrading to IOS 17.0.1 Is anyone else having this issue?

I discovered that the volume control for speaker phone mode is independent of the regular iOS volume. This seems to be part of the 17.x update.
Make a call, set to speaker, and then adjust the volume up and it will all work fine.
This was driving me nuts as speakers worked all other apps except in the phone app.

Yes, after IOS 17.1.1. update - my iPhone12 now overheats tremendously and I can only make or receive calls with the Speaker phone - all the other sounds and haptics all work etc..
My sound during a call is distorted/crackly/drops in and out - worked perfectly fine until the latest update. No doubt will be fobbed off by Apple yet again
Still no consistent speakerphone. Sometimes good for a minute , sometimes good for 20seconds or so.

Updated to 17.1 4 days ago. Now every call has distorted sound. Apple update caused the issue but unsurprisingly they don’t how how to resolve it !
Obviously Apple doesn't care b/c they're ignoring the issue clearly. Posted elsewhere in the Apple community also on other threads, exact same issue.
Thanks for that idea. I just changed it to normal and hope it works. Will report back.

Did something with the recent update change the compatibility of the cases?
I’ve used the same case for the last 2 years and never had an issue until this update.
