HomePod network issues

Siri says "Sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to the internet. Check that your iPad is on the same network as your iPad." Whenever I ask a personal request. I checked and they are on the same network. Anyone know why this is happening? I also just purchased this a couple weeks ago so I don'y know if it's a problem with the setup. Went one day after setup then this happened.

First, we'd recommend reviewing the setup process for HomePod here to see if that helps: Set up HomePod or HomePod mini - Apple Support


As the issue sounds network related, we'd also suggest disconnecting your iPad from Wi-Fi as well as your HomePod, and potentially resetting your wireless router as well and then reconnecting to see if that resolves the issue.


You can find options for changing your HomePod settings, for use with iPad here: Change HomePod settings - Apple Support


If your wireless router offers two separate connection points, for example, 5ghz and 2.4ghz connection, ensure that both devices are connected to the same option. If you're using a VPN or other security software on your iPad, that could also potentially interfere with the devices connecting.
