Intercom not available through HomePods

Hi all. I'm having issues with my HomePod's not being able to use the Intercom function. I click on the synbol in the Home app to send an intercom message and am met the message 'unavailable, can't connect to any HomePod speakers'. Does anyone have a solution to resolve this? All on the same network, software up to date.

HomePod connection issues with OS 16.6 I updated 2 x OG HomePods and 2 x HomePod minis to 16.6 recently. None would reconnect to WiFi after the update and the only way I could re-enable them was to remove each from the Home app, reset the HomePods and set up again as new devices. However after a little less than 24 hours they all dropped out again. Repeated the removal, reset, re-add and a further 24 hours later they all dropped out again. I used to see them re-authenticating on my WiFi on an hourly basis before 16.6 - now only show up when I re-add them. No changes to my home network during this period and no other devices are having connection issues. Anybody else seeing anything similar? Has something changed in the network requirements with OS 16.6?

HomePod network issues Siri says "Sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to the internet. Check that your iPad is on the same network as your iPad." Whenever I ask a personal request. I checked and they are on the same network. Anyone know why this is happening? I also just purchased this a couple weeks ago so I don'y know if it's a problem with the setup. Went one day after setup then this happened.

HomePod Mini unable to connect to Wi-Fi after update 26.2 Hello folks, Version 26.2 became available yesterday for my apple devices. My phone and Apple TV's updated without problems. Two out of three Homepod Mini's however did not. These two devices are unable to connect to the home WiFi. Tried the usual steps: rebooted the homepod Resetted the homepod manually, as the homepods are not reachable through the Home app. For good measure, rebooted my router and switched access points to rule out other network issues. Unfortunately both my (Windows) laptops are unable to power / connect to the Homepod through USB C, so restoring through iTunes is an issue. Have any of you experienced the same issues upgrading from 26.1 to 26.2? Are there any other steps available to restore the two Homepods? Your insights are appreciated! Sincerely,

if it was me then my first troubleshooting step would be

to disconnect the homepods from ac power and reconnect them

and if you use an ios device to access the feature then force restart said ios device

Restart your iPad - Apple Support

maybe also the wifi router (in terms of a restart)
