Missed call notification won’t go away on iPhone 15 Pro

To clear missed call notifications swipe left on the notification or group of notifications, then tap Clear.

Or from the Lock screen open the Notification Centre, swipe up from the middle of the screen, then clear your notification history, touch and hold the X button and tap Clear All Notifications or click the X button and press clear.

If this doesn't work try restart the device.

If it is a Notification badge you can switch off the Notification Badge option and then switch it back on again to see if that helps.

Had same issue. I resolved by going to settings, phone app. Turn off badges. Restart iPhone, then go back into settings and turn badges back on.

I just got the new iPhone 15 pro max and after the whole transfer it showed 3 phone notifications. There was no missed calls etc. I went into settings and did notifications> phone> badges and turned badges off. I left them off and restarted my phone then once it turned back on I turned the badges back on and it fixed it on the first try.

You are spot on, disabling notifications and then turning the phone off, then restarting and enabling them fixed this flaw.

When I tried disabling without restarting it wouldn’t resolve.

For me, this was because I had a voicemail that hadn't come through to my E-voicemail yet so I had dialled 121 and listened to the voicemail, but then it took another hour to show up as an E-voicemail. Then when I listened to that and deleted it the notification went away. Very annoying.

I had same issue wit phone dialer shortcut stuck at 1. Try this: I went into settings and did notifications> phone> badges and turned badges off. I left them off and restarted my phone then once it turned back on I turned the badges back on. Didn’t work 1st time so tried it again. This time I noticed voicemail shortcut was stuck at 1. Didn’t notice it before. I deleted the voicemail and resolved problem.

don't forget to check voicemail -- those don't show on the phone button (you have to check it next to keypad option) but they do on the home screen

You could also try to clear the notification by opening the Phone app > Recents > tap All then Missed at the top, then close the app.

Worked for me first time: turn off notifications, then turn off phone for 1-2 minutes, then back on.

I tried the method where you go in the settings and turn off badges and notifications but it never worked after rebooting my new 15 multiple times. Instead, it appeared to have fixed itself after missing a call. So try missing a call on purpose to see if that works.

The stuck indicator was from a voice mail that took 4 hours to appear in voicemail. I tried all the fixes listed above and below but when the voice mail showed up and listened to the indicator turned off.

agreed. has happened to me a bunch. VM that isn’t showing, getting stuck somewhere before appearing like the missed call. once the vm does appear and you observe in the phone app, the notification goes away.

nothing works until it appears.
