I’ve cleared the missed call list and the voicemails and it’s still there. I have the new 15 pro and it’s updated to the most recent iOS. How do I get rid of this without turning badge notifications off?

I had to do it a couple times, but go to settings, notifications and turn off badges for Phone. And then turn your phone off then back on then go back to those settings and turn badges back on. I think I did it three or four times, but it finally worked. Hope this helps. I know how frustrating that was.

The stuck indicator was from a voice mail that took 4 hours to appear in voicemail. I tried all the fixes listed above and below but when the voice mail showed up and listened to the indicator turned off.
agreed. has happened to me a bunch. VM that isn’t showing, getting stuck somewhere before appearing like the missed call. once the vm does appear and you observe in the phone app, the notification goes away.
nothing works until it appears.
This worked for me the last time this issue happened, but not for the occurrence yesterday.
I ended up having to go to my junk mail, selecting all of it and deleting it, before my phantom unread emails / badge went away.
I’ve done this 3 times and just now it actually fixed.

Shoot. I know it’s annoying. Apple should fix this. Maybe leave badges off for like 10min then turn phone off for like 1-2 minutes then turn badges back on. This is what eventually worked for me.
