iPhone 15 Pro won't vibrate on Silent Mode

Thanks for the response. I do believe they are different. Does the plus still have the side lever that you can flip up or down to silence your phone? The 15 pro and pro max don’t anymore so I’m thinking that’s why we are having this issue …

The only thing that worked for me was a settings reset, which worked for about 24 hours... I have attempted to do everything in the thread and I am still without the vibrating function when the phone is in silent mode. My only hope now is that Apple is monitoring this and will develop a solution quickly. But it seems that "hope springs eternal" if some of you have called (or visited the stores) and nothing has happened.

What further baffles me is that it does not even notify you when the phone is open and you are holding it.

One thing I did try was to have it off silent mode and turn the volume as low as possible which, incidentally, it is not OFF.

we don’t even know if Apple is aware of the problem the only way they will know is if people call into tech-support and reported we don’t even know if they look at these pages…

I'm having an issue when you are on silent mode vibration doesn't work on my 15 pro max I have mine set to just badge alerts on my 15PM tho my 14PM worked just fine on iOS 16.7 lol I have done everything setup as new iPhone and changed and played with every setting you can think of..... It will only work if one of the notification banners are on but on iOS 16 i didn't have to have those turned on.

Upon further research, the iOS seems to be missing a toggle in sounds and haptics that allows vibrate while in silent mode. I opened a new discussion that is more direct about the issue.

I have iPhone 15 Plus. Got it yesterday 12/7/23. Tried all the options in the forum. The ONLY way MESSAGES can vibrate is if u allow banners . Apple, why can’t it vibrate with all banners switched off ?

As for WhatsApp, there is no fix - it cannot vibrate at all with all the solutions in this thread. Can someone help please ?

I’ve definitely suffered from this for a while. I’ve finally decided to try to figure out what’s causing it and stumbled across this thread.

My hunch is that it was this setting that was the problem.

I’ve turned off the smart schedule now and (it was previously on) and I’m expecting / hoping it will improve.

It would be very helpful if iOS gave some indication of “x number of notifications were silenced automatically” or some such information to users. Then we’d know where to look to disable it.

I am having the exact same issue. I have tried turning off and back on all applicable settings, restarted my phone, have the latest iOS, nothing seems to work.

SAME HERE. AND ITS STARTING TO REALLY GET ON MY NERVES. $1500 for this phone and it’s not vibrating as it should. 😡😡😡

I’ve been into apple today, they say it’s a software problem and just need to wait for an iOS fix

I’m having the same issues. Spent hours on the phone with teen mobile and a rep from Apple who mirrored my phone and still nothing . They said phone was defected so I got a new and guess what .. yup it’s still happening to the new phone. Get it together Apple ! If this doesn’t get fixed I’m switching ..
