iPhone 15 Pro won't vibrate on Silent Mode

Try doing a reset of your settings if you haven’t already.

This worked for me. Turned on banners and sent myself a text message and now I can finally feel the vibration on my new iPhone15 Pro

I think I have figured it out to turn on vibration in silent mode, change the haptics from default to something else from the list I used alerts and it seems to work.

I was on the phone for over an hour with four different advisors to be basically told to go into a store and rebuild the phone without an iCloud backup to check if it’s software or my backup!

This disgraceful for such an expensive device!

***I HAVE AN EASY SOLUTION*** I have a fix it’s annoying for those of us who HATE getting banners for text alerts but however the banner NO LONGER shows previews of the message content. It just says contact name on top of iMessage or Text Message. So you go to messages or notifications, TURN ON Banner Notifications, pick your sound & haptic and that’s it! Idk why it took us all this long myself included(I’ve been a District Manager for a wireless provider the last 9yrs) to figure this out!! My Apple Representative didn’t even have a fix but you know what he did have? The SAME EXACT ISSUE on his 15 Pro. I’ve also seen a ton of 15 Pro Max come back into the store lately bc if the phone isn’t 30days old & it messes up we swap it out for the customer. But anyway they’ve recently started developing TERRIBLE SCREEN BURN! Especially those who use their device to game hours on end nonstop or playing whenever you can for however long throughout the day.

I reported to tech support and they told me it was something to do with my backup (despite my 11 working fine on iOS 16 and I needed to take it into store to get rebuilt (again). As I obviously hadn’t rebuilt it right.

oh and yes hard reset didn’t work for me either. Banners are helping on some but only when the phone is unlocked.

Hey I found a way to fix it . Go to notifications and turn on Lock Screen. This will allow the phone to vibrate. Try it out and see if it works for you .

I'm having an issue when you are on silent mode vibration doesn't work on my 15 pro max I have mine set to just badge alerts on my 15PM tho my 14PM worked just fine on iOS 16.7 lol I have done everything setup as new iPhone and changed and played with every setting you can think of..... It will only work if one of the notification banners are on but on iOS 16 i didn't have to have those turned on.

Hi all! The new update that came out Tuesday fixed this. I also went to notifications, turned off “Lock Screen, Notification Center, banners”, but left the “allow notifications” bar to be on and my phone vibrates when I get messages without anything popping up.

I don’t either but it would not vibrate without enabling banners. Give it a try. If it works, please share with the community!

Yes I agree . I’ve tried it all and only way to get it to vibrate is with a banner on. Hopefully they will send out a patch on the next update to fix it .

Yeah I’ve tried that myself & still nothing! When I came out of work today I had 38 texts and never knew it bc the vibration haptics never alerted me. I even tried to make a custom haptic beat myself but still to no avail. I LNEW I SHOULD’VE WAITED 30-45DAYS until all the little BS BUGS were fixed and it was working properly! I mean to give the Pro & Pro Max the title of “worlds most capable phone” they should at least do what they should! I really don’t wanna drive clear to Apple so hopefully they get a patch soon. I know EVERYONE I’ve asked who got the 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max has the same issue since day one! Had I known it was gonna be this aggravating I would’ve kept using either my 12 Pro, 13 Pro, or 14 Pro. But no I’m a sucker for mobile gaming and once I heard about this pro model I had to get it and boom bugs immediately!

And what exactly does this have to do with the IPhone 15 not vibrating on silent? Sorry but you posted known information about the IPhone and Apple Watch since its inception. The 15 does not vibrate with or without a watch, in my house or at work, in my hand or on my bed, with every setting known to man and even when I’m eating green eggs and ham. It’s trash and I’m returning.

You can try to contact support yourself https://getsupport.apple.com/ and see what they say. Maybe they will tell you something different. I understand it is very annoying. I just got my iPhone 15 Pro Max today and transferred everything over from my iPhone 12 Pro Max and noticed it. They asked if it had a watch and I do.
