You could try all the same things I tried described in this thread.
Go the scientific, methodical, route - measure everything. Duration, from how many % to how many % battery in that time, take screenshots. Every time you change something, give it a few hours until you're confident it changes either something or nothing. Then switch it back and try the next thing. Yes, this will take days, if not weeks, but keep a record of everything you do and the result. As you can see I built quite a record and detailed descriptions of what was going on, including screenshots of the battery drain at some points (I have lots more but didn't want to spam too much here). In the end I could with absolute (or at least 99.99%) certainty show that the problem was in the phone, not any of my apps, my usage pattern, my charge pattern etc. etc. When the evidence is irrefutable then Apple has no option to swap it. Otherwise they can* keep sending you back into the weeds with "have you tried ...".
You may not have to go this far. Maybe all it takes is a simple call to Apple Customer Support and mention your phone drains like crazy and they'll replace it. I may be the weird one, but I like to come prepared to the battlefield 😝 If you're close to an Apple Store maybe you could pay them a visit (closest to me is a 2hrs drive away) and have them take a look at it (I doubt they'll replace it on the spot, but you never know). If you have AppleCare+ then Apple may be even more willing to replace it quickly or without too much asking. However, you do have a right to a decent working product which you paid (dearly) for. So if the phone doesn't do what it's supposed to do or doesn't function as it's supposed to function or doesn't last as long as it's supposed to last then - in most, if not any, part(s) of the world - you're entitled to (most) of your money back or a replacement. It depends on where you live (I'm in Europe) so your mileage may vary. But I'm sure Apple will be happy to replace it if it's actually a lemon (production error).
Having said that: how long does yours last and could you post a screenshot like I posted which clearly shows a) the green battery usage graph and b) the blue activity graph? If you have any means to measure temperature reliably, like I did, then measure the temperature after your phone being "idle" for, say, an hour (with no apps open or anything) and also, or especially, at times when it's hot. Note down what you were doing what (may have) caused the heating in your opinion. Again: measure, build a record. The first thing you're gonna have to do is define what you mean with "battery is draining hard"; what is 'draining hard' in your book may be 'normal' in someone else's book. Numbers. Durations. Graphs. Cold hard data.

* Not saying they will.
You did what was best for you; Apple isn’t responsible when third parties don’t properly update their apps and your experience will be less than satisfactory until the makers of the apps you use take action.
I have had a 15 Pro Max since launch day and it has never heated at all.
I just received my new iPhone 15 within the past week. The battery drains fast with very little usage, and the phone gets warm while charging, and even when just typing in a few sentences. I have updated the software. I have hardly used the phone, do not do any gaming or streaming, and it has these issues just sitting there. I am a little concerned as the iPhone 7 I just retired had a much longer battery life. I would like to know what can be done about this. I had contemplated buying an iPhone 13, and hope this was not an expensive mistake.
Same here. The new iPhone 15 I just purchased drains rapidly just sitting there doing nothing. I just retired an iPhone 7 that had more than 2-3 times the battery life. At this point I don't see how the phone can be reliable if a person is out and about, as the battery will drain and die before you get home.
The iPhone 15 has also been very warm when it is not charging, and is just sitting there. I am going to go through and remove apps etc. as well as check the battery. But it is an expensive phone and a concern if it is not reliable re battery draining so fast.
I have the same problem. The battery is not lasting 8h. My last iPhone was 13 pro max and the battery would last the whole day.
It’s really frustrating that Apple is going downhill. Customer service just pretend that nothing is happening, but they know is a problem.
No one is gonna be helped with 400 "me too" replies. There's a "Me too" button you can click to tell Apple you're experiencing the same problem. Unless you have anything substantial or of value to add to the discussion, stop piling "me too" replies please.
Just wanted to register to say the same thing. A one hour cellular call drains 17%, I've only had the phone a couple of weeks. Most wifi activity (streaming vids etc) seems fine, but making a regular call drains so much. I sometimes make several long calls in a day, so just three would drain over half of my battery.
I have been with my phone for only two days and it’s heartbreaking that the battery drains so fast. I have been trying to figure out what they meant when they say it’s battery last longer than any other phone. I am so disappointed. On top of that the phone overheats when charging.
I feel this purchase is a complete waste of my hard earned money!
We just bought an iPhone 15 pro max and having the same issues.
Phone is getting hot and battery draining so fast.
We have an iPhone 13 pro max max and no problems like this.
I hope this is sorted out soon.
It shouldn't be like this...
It is still worst experience I have ever faced regarding battery backups of iPhone 15 pro max. I used to be able to use my 2 year old Pro Max 13 for 2 days EASY before having to charge (over 48 hours)
I got my iPhone 15 Pro Max a month and a half ago but a couple of days ago I noticed my battery will just start dropping suddenly. It would go from 48% to 38% then down to 33% in one minute after just turning the phone off and turning it back on. The chart shows the battery just plummeting. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
What's surprising is that the "Screen Time" app shows that I spent less than 1 minute using the Phone app today even though I used it for over an hour.
Exactly the same for me with snap and insta let’s wait for the update, hopefully all these issues are solved
Mine is tic toc at the top but draining extremely fast with phone calls.
Same here, got the IPhone 15 Pro 3 days ago and battery is draining sooo fast, 1% every 2/3 minutes.
I hope that we will get a software update asap.
