Not sure about the first question, as mine is 4K (1st generation), and unsupported for mentioned FaceTime functionality.
My iPhone 12 mini shows the Find Siri Remote (2nd generation or later) function in the software remote’s drop down menu at the top, where you select the device. It would show the remote icon next the the device. Click there. It doesn’t use the Find My as used for other devices, presumably as the tech used is different — if that is where you were looking for it.

FaceTime on Apple TV requires Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later) [A2169, A2737, or A2843]. Your Apple TV 4K (1st generation) model is unsupported for this.

you have a 1st gen 4K Apple TV. You need a second gen A1842 is first gen Apple TV 4K not second gen. Sorry to disappoint but if you want access to face time then you have to get a new Apple TV and ask for a 2nd gen Apple TV 4K

Make sure go to settings, general, about. You should see a number that starts with A()()()() look that number up online and see what generation you have. If it’s 2nd gen then make sure you updated it. Then you should see it.
