Missing iPhone features in UK IOS 17 Release

I just launched a test to my work iPhone. First stage went OK now waiting to see if it times out and alerts. I also tried one to my sister (older iOS not updated) and got blocked as soon as I tried to make a Check In message.

(2) I have a People & Pets album on my iPhone XS Max.

(3) As Giulio says geographic restrictions limit the Voicemail toys to North America. I'm guessing it will expand later as server capability is enhanced.

Nope, at least not yet, for (1) & (2).

(1) In this support page:--> Use Check In on iPhone to let your friends know you’ve arrived – Apple Support (UK), Apple only says: it isn’t available in all countries or regions.

(2) In this support page:--> Identify people and pets in Photos on iPhone – Apple Support (UK) , Apple doesn't mention any availability problem.

As far as (3) is concerned, in this support article:--> Use Live Voicemail on your iPhone – Apple Support (UK) , Apple says: Live Voicemail is available only in English in the United States and Canada, excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Perhaps we'll learn something more in the next few days.

Here is what I found. Can’t speak to regional availability, but there may be info in the link.

Note that some features are not available on older phones, even if they can run iOS17.

Update:

Apart from a minor Operator Error because I sent the Check In alert to the wrong iPhone, it all worked as expected. The messages get quite excited when it goes over time. The time-out alerts are very insistent and unmissable.

That was using my XS Max, almost the oldest phone still supported by iOS 17 so I expect any newer iPhone will work equally well.
