My brother gave me this apple watch that his friend gave him. I tried to set it up, but since my brother’s friend broke his phone and had to create a new icloud, i wasn’t able to set it up because of the activation lock. I don’t know what to do now because I don’t have evidence of purchase and i don’t have money to have someone else unlock it. Please help!!!!

Your brother's friend will have to remove the lock. The friend either needs to regain access to the old account, or present Apple with the original receipt for the purchase of the phone so they will remove the lock.
