Control Center disappeared from Apple Watch SE after update.

After competing the updates that came with the release of iPhone 15 (iOS17)for my phone and(watchOS10)for my watch I notice the same issue. The solution I found was double tapping the Digital Crown button on my Apple Watch and then it appeared.

This change of Control Center access is really poorly thought out. My “Side Button” under the silver crown: does not push easily. This makes it waaaaay harder to get to widgets I use all the time. Update stinks.

I’m having the same issue and I have a Watch 3 too. I’ve pressed the crown and the bottom button to no avail. I’ve swiped every direction like my life depends on it - nada. I’ve searched the list of apps thinking I could find “control center” - nope. I’ve scoured the net-webs for an answered and see people suggest a quick press of the bottom button - I’ve done that dozens of times and yes, the elongated capsule shaped one (i.e. not the crown). I’ve called the Mayor… no luck there either. There isn’t an Apple Store within 130 miles so…. Help.

That sounds like you are pressing the Digital Crown, and not the flat oval side button.

If the find the iPhone icon is not in the flat Oval side button display, then scroll down to the bottom of the list, and tap "Edit". She should be able to add the find iPhone back to the Control Center display.

Bob, I know you keep saying the flat oval button is the answer but Rstekeur and I are trying to tell you that it doesn’t open the control center on the Apple Watch 3. It opens the App Switcher. Like Rstekeur’s wife, I too depend on the find phone button within the control center.

Then they would be accused of SPAM'ing and a different class of users would be complaining. Apple gave free U2 music to everyone and they complained. Someone will always complain about anything.

Generally when you apply an update, there is a option to view the changes. Most users just blow past that and ignore the offer to find out what is new.

Tap instead of holding the button.

It is so very difficult to push the side button in if you just want to use one of the many useful icons. Can you get any back? I never use apps just the standard control centre one s. Water resist, ring my phone, sleep mode, silent mode etc v

Do not hold the button. Simply tap it.

I cannot find the control center on my Apple Watch. When I pressed the long button on side of watch the only thing that comes up is medical ID , compass backtrack, emergency call.

i liked to be able to find my phone easily by pinging it with Apple Watch

Neither side button brings up the control center I am used to.

how do I add that as either the old bottom swipe or as a watch face function complication?

I really do not understand what was gained by this change. why change something so simple, easy, and user friendly?
