iPhone 15 charging keeps blinking and beeping
Plugged into the cable that came with new phone. And Apple cube. Upon charging the screen blinks on off while beeping every 2 seconds that it is charging.

Hey @jordana128 so I’ve figured it’s to do with the Wattages and not the cable. I got the same 1% blinks/vibrations when charged using a plug/Anker charger above 20W. If use anything below 20W am able to get a smooth charging. Includes both OEM cable that came along with the phone + anker 2m cable that I use.
I JUST purchased my iPhone 15+ this morning and had no problems charging with a traditional USB-C charging cable in my vehicle and in my house. As soon as I try to use the C-C cable provided with the phone there were glitches and blinking lightning bolt symbols in the battery area. I tried powering down my device, switching sides of the c-c cable, block switches etc. and NOTHING helped. Seemed to take the charge away faster actually. But the only solution I’ve found thus far is using an off brand USB -C cable with my Apple device. Still hasn’t charged up from 10% but praying it works
i believe it has to do with the charging optimization setting on “optimized”. changing this seems to stop it.
I used a normal usb to type c cable for charging my iPhone 15 max pro and it’s working perfectly with no blinking and beeping. The problem is with the type c to type c cable and box.
I had same issue with my 15pro. Tried a "anker" cable first. Thought it was a pattern with certain numbers since it was happening at 2,4,6 & 10s of numbers when going up, cable is a little loose in the porrt as well! I texted apple they thought my mag safe case was triggering it. Took the case off & switched to cable that came with the phone & it was still doing it. The phone takes a charge but the flashing/buzzing is annoying.. cant tell if it's a port, cable, or system defect!
I’ve tried Apple cords, Apple blocks and other brands and the only thing I’ve noticed that will stop it, is when your phone starts dinging at every percentage, unplug the cord from the phone flip it over and plug it back in. It sounds crazy, but mine starts dinging at 80% and if I do that it stops and charges the rest of the way without dinging. I’m not saying this is the solution, but it works for me.
As someone else mentioned here , I have an iPhone 15 and it seemed to start for me with iOS 17.3 update - this happens with my in-car charger cigarette charger, which is a certified as USB-C PD port (20W) and a Belkin USB-C to USB-C - both bought in last month as I thought it was my old in-car charger that I’d had for 3 ish years that was the problem!!
this doesn’t seem to happen on my in-house charger I use a night (thank heavens)- where I use a Juice mains USB-C 20W PD charger and the supplied Apple USB-C cable.
this issue is very annoying - not found a fix yet, but notiys me every 2 seconds that my phone is charging via the Dynamic Island notification.
please, please a fix soon….
I also had the same problem I found that turning on do not disturb silences the charging notification by a lot but not completely if any of y’all find a permanent solution please notify me
Same problem here, little wiggly port and my phone keeps beeping while charging with the factory cable and adapter. Altough if im using any other cable/adapter it doesn’t. If i’m using the factory cable with any other adapter or vica versa it’s not beeping…
Why is my new iPhone 15 pro beeping and blinking when charging?
Been using for a week and 1/2, charged several times, Occurring on same chargers used previously. Plugged, unplugged, adjusted connectors, No improvement. Moved to my night charger, iPhone appears to not even charging on this block.
Same problem. I opened a complaint with Apple and am waiting for a response.
My blocks comply with the USB-C standard and have a capacity of 40W.
They work with all my Apple and non-Apple devices except my iPhone 15 pro max.
Apple is trying to tell us that our blocks are in problem but that doesn't seem to be the case to me.
My IPhone 15 pro max notifies me every 1% of it charging. I’m not using the supplied charge cable as its woefully short. I’ve seen on many forums this is happening. If Apple are punishing people for not using their cable it’s the lowest of the low .
Any ideas of a fix or do we have to complain to Apple for a software fix 😩
I have a 15 pro max. Same problem. I bought a very nice high quality charger, actually 2. One for the car one for wall plug. Each has a usb-a and a usb-c port. High quality. From Amazon the brand is "Fast." Came with 2 high quality usb-c to usb-c cables. They worked fine until recently. Maybe my last software update. Both chargers work fine with a cheap usb-c to usb-a cable. It's got to be this 17.3.1 update.
My iPhone 15 pro max also vibrates every 1% it charges with the iPhone cable it came with , I then bought a new one to see if it was a faulty cable? But it did the same thing with the new one. Turned my haptics off to stop the vibration at night (always have on silent) I’m unsure if it’s a faulty device as I’ve charged an iPhone 13 from the same socket and it doesn’t do the same issue when charging.
I have the same issue on my iPhone 15 pro max using the supplied cable. Have tried different plugs, same issue.
iPhone 15 Pro Max: dings when plugged in as expected and then dings and flashes “Charging” with each percentage charged. This happens when using the provided cable and an Apple charging block.
