iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

I have bought iPhone 15 pro recently. The expectation is battery should be efficient, but is performing poor than iPhone 11. Especially Findmy app is used all night. The battery went down from 55% to 32%. Please help me to fix this?

Hey guys! Got my iPhone 15 Pro also 3 days ago and very upset with the battery capacity.

fullu charged at 7am when I wake up and not using a lot the phone. Some WhatsApp’s for working , around 4-5 calls 1 -4’ a rasgue duration. Even closing apps to try extend the charge and it’s now 2:22pm and I have 28% charge only? Come on this is a premium smartphone. Something is not working and apple should refix this issue.

Any other place where we can claim to apple for a solution, 1300€ phone and the battery does not survive at least 1 day in a normal use?

Well, I just updated to iOS 17.0.3 and my iPhone 15 Pro 512gb natural titanium is still as warm as ever and the battery has still dropped 15% in one hour …

I talked to someone who works for Apple and they said it’s not gonna get any better that they had better venting and heat dissipation for the 14 pro with the stainless steel and that the A17Pro Chip gets too hot …and titanium doesn’t allow it to disperse. I don’t think any software update is going to make this work. and when you have a hot chip, you’ll have a battery that drains extra fast.

i’m going to further test it tomorrow on Thursday and see how it goes — and then I’m taking it back Friday (within the first 14 days) and getting all my money back. I’m glad I kept my 11 Pro. I would suggest everybody to do this as Friday is your last day to get your money back since it was the first day you could pick it up in the store

this is by all means a massive hardware design defect and there’s no remedying it. I don’t know what Apple‘s gonna do with this one. The only way they can stop it from getting hot is the throttle that A17 chip and the expert I talk to said that’s not even gonna help much. Some units are fine some aren’t. I’m not gonna gamble my $1500 on it again.

Mine is iPhone 15 pro max and it is the same way. 11 lasted way longer and I thought it was bad but this brand new phone takes the cake for terrible battery life. I also have a very hard time holding it as it hurts my hands. I have also been dropping calls. I don’t know if that is the phone or something else? The phone seems to get very hot easily. I should have kept my old one and got a new battery

Double check, under 14 days you can return (if bought from Apple) I got mine from a franchise here in UK called IStore their policy is 20% if you have opened the box and want to return it! Anyway, there MAY be a glimmer of hope. I found with location services turned off completely and no always on screen battery life became more tolerable.

I installed iOS 17.03 update this morning and turned location services back on (as I use maps and 'find my') So far in 7.5 hours I have dropped 18% which I reckon is ok? Not the most intense day of use so early days to say things are good. But it seemed that the power drain was heavy and constant before this update. I hope things stay this way and that Apple get to improve this situation further. Obviously a phone of this cost should have a decent battery life.

Good luck all!

I had the 14 pro max 100% battery health lasted me a day and few hour next day with normal use

it was fantastic best battery I’ve had

but I just got the 15 pro max and I’m having to not use it much to save battery

🪫 i rang Apple and they said my battery seems fine

but it’s not compared to my 14 pro max and surely it should be better or at least the same

they’ve made me a appointment at store but they’ll just say the same it’s ok battery seems fine

but it definitely isn’t I want to use my phone when I want without worrying about it draining

on my experience at the begging when i just got the phone battery was just draining fast, after a week in a day that I'm not working and using my phone most of the day on Spotify, YouTube, Instagram , WhatsApp, games, facetime, etc etc, my battery last around 9 to10 hours and just charging it the day before at night 1 time, so basically i just connected to the charger just 1 time per day that's all. on a day while I'm working battery last around 12 to 14 hours, so that should be good enough ? at the begging i was kinda worried about the battery draining fast and was thinking just go and change it for the pro max, hope phone keep working well since is just 14 days to exchange it

I was eight years with a 1st edition SE. Went to 15 pro. I trimmed all power use to bare minimum, with Location services being the worse problem which I had to leave off unless I was using map app or similar, this made it just about useable with a not intense use day. But, since since IOS 17.03 things have vastly improved and I can get through the day with power left even limiting charge to 80% (prolonging battery life hopefully) and with location services back on! (selective apps allowed to used it though) If you've not got 17.03 give it a try. Hope it all works out for you..

This is not right. I have the 15 pro max. And using it for what it is designed for is killing the battery in less than a day. I am now trying to not use my phone which defeats the purpose of the phone. I have everything that would be good like alway on display and background refresh and notifications and brightness all turned down or off. It’s silly that the phone has these options but realistically cannot be used as it kills the battery. I have had almost every model previously and never had this bad of an experience. This needs to be fixed. This is not ok.

I took the battery optimizer off and did the update and mine is waaayyyy better!! Within 2 hours my phone was down 20% with minimal use. Within 10 hours, it was dying. Since doing those things, my phone lasts day and night!! I took it off the charger at 8 this morning and it is now 2:35 in the morning and my phone is still at 28%. They told me for the first couple of weeks the battery would drain faster because the phone is optimizing trying to get your pattern down so all you have to do is turn the optimize off. Hope this helps
