I have bought iPhone 15 pro recently. The expectation is battery should be efficient, but is performing poor than iPhone 11. Especially Findmy app is used all night. The battery went down from 55% to 32%. Please help me to fix this?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17
Well, I just updated to iOS 17.0.3 and my iPhone 15 Pro 512gb natural titanium is still as warm as ever and the battery has still dropped 15% in one hour …
I talked to someone who works for Apple and they said it’s not gonna get any better that they had better venting and heat dissipation for the 14 pro with the stainless steel and that the A17Pro Chip gets too hot …and titanium doesn’t allow it to disperse. I don’t think any software update is going to make this work. and when you have a hot chip, you’ll have a battery that drains extra fast.
i’m going to further test it tomorrow on Thursday and see how it goes — and then I’m taking it back Friday (within the first 14 days) and getting all my money back. I’m glad I kept my 11 Pro. I would suggest everybody to do this as Friday is your last day to get your money back since it was the first day you could pick it up in the store
this is by all means a massive hardware design defect and there’s no remedying it. I don’t know what Apple‘s gonna do with this one. The only way they can stop it from getting hot is the throttle that A17 chip and the expert I talk to said that’s not even gonna help much. Some units are fine some aren’t. I’m not gonna gamble my $1500 on it again.
My phone is draining like a speed boat, after normal usage my battery is down to 10% by 4pm. I removed from charging at full capacity at 9am.
Return it, like I did !!! It’s a piece of ****. Apple doesn’t know how to fix the software issue but keeps it on stores for sale. This is wrong!!!
Turn off optimization
In my opinion, the breakthrough here is the ios 17 in general . it's not possible for brand new phones with such a powerful battery to use up so much power.
I think that anyone with a warranty on their phone could return? That’s my plan as I’m really not happy after having paid £1099! I opted for a brand new phone because my old X’s battery was bad.
Its the same even contacted the apple support its been a week since i have used it they are saying use it more it”ll adjust according to my use
@IbbyApple - Your battery drain during the call was caused by calling from a spot with weak GSM reception. IPhone had to transmit on full RF power which caused heating it up and the battery drain.
It is like a coin toss. You will never know what’s coming. What’s worse I don’t see any difference between 17.0 and any other 17s software. Moreover sometimes iPhone can last so long and the other day doing same thing much less. Once my iPhone 15 pro lasted 5h and used only 50% (on WiFi of course). The next day doing same things only 3h in 50%. How? I turned my iPhone off and on between these to days and it looks like this could be a factor. I am so frustrated. This is the worst battery in iPhone I’ve ever had. Even my 13 mini was better. I could use it all day and yes I had to recharge it at 18:00-20:00 but it was mini. I didn’t even mentioned about mobile data. It cuts your SoT drastically. Even if I don’t use my phone but I am not at the office or at home my 15 pro isn’t capable to last all day (from 7:00-8:00 till 22:00-23:00). Unbelievable.
I’m having serious battery drainage issues too. I’m super disappointed with this phone. Apple is apparently having sales issues, and this is not the way to do it.
Whats worse, is my speakers have a metallic buzzing sound that should not be there. This is a big problem for me.
Not sure they can sort thus without fitting s bigger battery. Turning of location services completely helps but a ridiculous suggestion if you need maps or satnav app! Premium product price like old generation performance. Not sure how Apple’s definition of value to the customers works with this product?
I’m having the same issue and it’s ridiculous. I remember when I got the iPhone 13 the day it came out, my battery lasted 2 whole days before I had to charge it. Only took about 30 minutes to fully charge. I traded it in with 84% battery capacity, but it was still working great. Now with the iPhone 15 Pro, the battery life doesn’t last half a day and it takes about an hour to charge.
also having this same problem, been using the phone for two days, have gone through today and disabled always on screen, disabled background refresh etc. which I’m hoping will help. I’ve been getting battery life comparable to my iPhone 12 with 65% battery health, I just want my phone to last the day, is there any word about Apple updating their software or is this a hardware issue, will a new iPhone 14 be better for battery life? I feel like I’ve never had this problem with a brand new iPhone before.
I have the same problem with my iPhone 15 Pro. Must say I am very disappointed. I paid a lot for a new phone and the battery is seriously barely better than my iPhone 11 Pro with a battery condition of 79%. I'm going back to the store tomorrow to address this issue and find a reasonable solution. I'm not going to spend 1300 euros on a phone with a bad battery.
The previous times I bought a new iPhone I could easily use it for 1.5 to 2 days without charging. It's ridiculous that this is no longer possible while Apple promises 26 hours of battery life when watching videos.
Super disappointing! My phone dies middle of the day and I don’t use it even close to the way I did with my 14 Pro.
30 mins of google maps, 2 phone calls (combined 5 minutes), 1 hour of Spotify, 30 mins of social media and by noon I’m at 25%….. not what you expect from a $1600 phone.
In addition to battery issues, check for these as well:
1- facetime photo shots are not saved to photo app-
2- camera through Telegram app is malfunctioning and freezes the screen when you take a photo.
3- small buzzing sound at the beginning of facetime call
